WHere is a home-style version of a cocktail found on our latest drinks list. Designed as a party-sized prepared mix which is loaded with the essence of the Christmas time, rendering it excellent for a festive gathering. Save the extra cordial to use in morning drinks, puddings, or to make more rounds of this cocktail.
Bikini Recipe
Serves 10 servings
Ingredients for the Clementine Cordial (yields 750ml)
300ml fresh clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g caster sugar
For the Cocktail (makes 850ml, serving 10)
400ml decent vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach liqueur
200ml clementine cordial (as made above)
Fresh cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Instructions
To prepare the Citrus Syrup: Combine all the items inside a pan, heat until it reaches a light boil, agitating so the sugar melts. Then, turn off the stove and let it to reach room temperature entirely. Pour into a sealable bottle, close it and refrigerate it in the refrigerator, it will last for around a month.
For the Batch Mix: Mix all the spirits and syrup into one big jug, allow it to infuse for 60 minutes, then filter it best through cheesecloth, so it's fully clarified.
When ready to serve: Pour 85ml from the cocktail base to a stirring glass containing ice, gently stirring gently for one minute to cool it down. Filter into a chilled martini glass or similar, garnish with a few cranberries and finish using a light spray with the mandarin essence over the top.
